Meet Judge Craig Schwall

BIO

Judge Craig L. Schwall has spent many years serving the people of Fulton County and working to make the court system fair for everyone. He joined the Fulton County Superior Court in 2005 and has been a strong, steady voice in the courtroom ever since.

Judge Schwall’s interest in public service began early. He studied political science at Auburn University and later earned his law degree from Emory University. After law school, he began his career as a lawyer, working both as an associate and later as a partner at several law firms. These early experiences helped him understand how the legal system affects people’s everyday lives.

Before becoming a Superior Court judge, he served on the Fulton County Magistrate Court and the State Court of Fulton County. In each role, he focused on treating people with respect and listening carefully to the cases brought before him.

Judge Schwall has also shared his knowledge with students. He taught criminal justice at Georgia State University as an adjunct professor, encouraging young people to think about the law as a way to help their communities. He is an active member of several professional organizations, showing his dedication to learning and staying connected to others in the legal field.

Today, Judge Schwall continues to bring patience, understanding, and fairness to the bench. He has created standing orders that help keep court processes clear and consistent for everyone. Most importantly, he is committed to making sure each person who enters his courtroom is heard and treated with dignity.

Judge Craig L. Schwall is known not only for his long career, but for his belief that the justice system works best when it works for everyone.
