JUDGE SCHWALL
He has served on the Superior Court of Fulton County since 2005, after previously serving as a judge of the Fulton County State Court from 2003–2005 and the Fulton County Magistrate Court from 1996–2003.
Before taking the bench, Judge Schwall practiced law in Atlanta, including serving as a partner at Schwall & Schwall Attorneys at Law. He also served as an adjunct professor at Georgia State University’s College of Public and Urban Affairs, Department of Criminal Justice.
He earned his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in 1988 and his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Auburn University in 1985.
Throughout his career, Judge Schwall has developed a broad understanding of the legal system and the challenges that parties face when disputes arise.
His professional background includes experience with arbitration as well; a 2003 publication from the Georgia Council of State Court Judges identifies him as an Arbitrator for the Fulton County Civil Arbitration Board.
